The International and Regional teams led the mission, which included visits to Vientiane and Luang Prabang. In both locations, they were accompanied by Mekong Australian Partnership officials from the Australian Embassy in Bangkok.

International and regional teams spent 2 weeks in Cambodia and Thailand. The mission had several objectives:

RUCaS will join the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering – Faculty of Architecture (HUCE FAP) and ICEM teams in a collaboration to bring nature-based solutions into their city campus. Under the Green Cities project supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), ICEM is leading a design competition for HUCE students to revision and rehabilitate an abandoned site on campus.

International and national team members will visit case study sites and meet with stakeholders in June 2023.

Our international and national team members were on site at On Nut, the site of our firs case study. Our vision is to work with Thai colleagues to transform an urban landfill site into a multifunctional forest and wetland park that provides recreational and environmental benefits.

Representatives from academia, government, universities, local community coalitions and international agencies, including UN agencies, came together in Bangkok to discuss Thai and international experiences of and opportunities for nature-based solutions and climate resilience.
