Following on from a similar workshop in Lao PDR in January 2025, International and Regional team members led an deliver an environmental monitoring workshop with local stakeholders in Viet Nam.
The workshop had several objectives:
- Provide training on installing, calibrating and maintaining IoT sensors that can monitor the environmental effects of nature-based solutions
- Build participants’ capacity to interpret and analyse data to support decisions on urban water environmental management
- Foster collaboration between local institutions and international partners for sustainable environmental monitoring practices
- Foster sharing regional experiences through inviting participants from Cambodia and Lao PDR.
Miao Wang and Baiqin (Luke) Shi from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) delivered the training.
RUCaS International Lead Katharine Cross also met with Dr Đinh Văn Đạo from the Institute for Water Resource Economics and Management (IWREM) (an institute within the Vietnam Academy of Water Resources), to discuss ways to collaborate on projects to manage greywater.
